OL Holtz will visit Michigan State

Class of 2012 tight end JP Holtz will be attending a junior day at Michigan State at the end of this month.
Though the Spartans have not verbally offered the 6-foot-4, 232-pound prospect from Pittsburgh (Pa.) Shaler Area, they have made it clear that they are interested.

"Penn State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Maryland are some of the schools that have come in to see me," Holtz said on Sunday afternoon.
"I'm going up to Michigan State for a junior day soon. I forget the date but it's like the last Sunday of this month."
Holtz does not have plans to attend any other junior days but he isn't ruling anything out.
"I think I'm going up to Penn State, too," he said. "But that's for a spring practice."
The junior tight end wants to get away from home for college. He clarified that remark by saying he doesn't want to be too far, but he does want to get far enough away to establish some independence.
