OL Hedstrom draws two new offers

Mount Prospect (Ill.) offensive guard Eric Hedstrom (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) has been drawing rave reviews this spring, and those raves are starting to turn into scholarship offers.
“I've received written scholarship offers from both Nebraska and Illinois this week," Eric Hedstrom said. “Including my offer from Purdue, to be able to have opportunities from three great schools at this point is very humbling to say the least. I'm feeling very blessed lately and I'm thrilled with all three early offers."

Hedstrom talked about his offer from the Cornhuskers. "It's funny, because I just received a questionnaire from Nebraska a few weeks ago. My Dad joked that Nebraska would never offer me so why bother sending in the questionnaire. Then the next mail I get from Nebraska is a scholarship offer. I sent the questionnaire back to Nebraska about two hours ago."
"When I think of Nebraska football you think of a team that's always good, and Nebraska just takes it's football very seriously. I called the Nebraska coaches tonight and talked to them for awhile. They seem like really good coaches and they had several nice things to say about me, which was great. I'm definitely going to take a trip to Nebraska this summer to check out the school and the facilities."
Hedstrom is also equally impressed with landing an offer from the Fighting Illini. "I've been to Champaign several times, and I really just feel at home on that campus. I really like the campus and the facilities at Illinois a lot, and the coaches at Illinois are top notch guys. I know that the team hasn't had great success lately, but I have nothing but good things to say about the Illini. It's a great honor to receive an offer from them."
Does Hedstrom have any early favorites at this point? "No, not at all, I would say that my favorites are the schools that have offered me, and I'm just going to see how things work out for now."
