School: West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade

Position: Offensive lineman/Defensive tackle
Size and Speed: Speer is a lean 6-foot-4 and 270. He has been timed in the 40 at 5.0 flat. He has terrific strength with a 350 pound bench and a 525 pound squat.
Honors: Speer was selected all-CIF and all-league as a junior.
Statistics: Speer is a standout two-way performer who was dominating on the defensive side of the ball. As a defensive tackle Speer racked up 88 tackles, ten tackles for loss and four sacks. As impressive as his performance was on the defensive side of the ball, Speer projects as an offensive lineman.
Favorite Colleges: Speer has already heard for over 40 schools. Boston College, Colorado, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UCLA and Washington headline the list.
Skinny: Speer burst onto the scene as a junior to be at the USC combine in April of 2002. He did a nice job one source said when he lined up against UCLA bound Junior Lemamu’u.
Speer is a very versatile player who could end up playing any of the five offensive line spots on the D-I level. He is also a terrific long snapper.
Speer has a great work ethic and is very athletic for a young man his size.
Another thing to like about Speer is he is very lean and he could very easily carry 290 to 300 pounds without losing any quickness.
Speer is an offensive lineman to keep an eye on.
