OL goes From PSU to MSU

Latrobe (Pa.) Greater Latrobe offensive lineman Paul Simkovich said his experience at the NIKE Football Training Camp at Penn State on Saturday could not have gone much better. Soon afterwards Simkovich committed to the Michigan State Spartans.
"I don't think things could have gone any better," Simkovich said. "Coach Stoutland and coach Driesbach were there. They said to call them. I called and committed."

Stoutland will be Simkovich' position coach at Michigan State and Driesbach is the coach recruiting him for the Spartans.
"The coaches at Michigan State are great," Simkovich said. "I love coach Stoutland and coach Driesbach."
That is not all Simkovich likes about Michigan State.
"The academic support is really good," he said. "I visited there last year for football camp. I went to the Michigan State-Northwestern game. And I went to a junior day there. I really like it at Michigan State."
Simkovich also had scholarship offers from Temple and Akron. He attended junior days at Purdue, Akron, and Pitt before deciding Michigan State was the place he wants to spend his college days.
The 6-foot-4 and 298-pound Simkovich has been a varsity starter at tackle on both sides of the ball since his sophomore year. His performance at the NIKE Camp Saturday was outstanding.
