OL focusing on playoffs

Union, S.C. offensive line prospect Eric Young is trying to stay focused on the playoffs rather than recruiting, but he's balancing the two very well.
"We're 10-1 and playing Greenville this weekend and they have a good squad so that's where my focus is," said the 6-foot-4, 260-pounder. "We just beat Seneca 41-0 last week, we put them down."

Young has been a busy guy on weekends, making unofficial trips all over the place.
"I've visited Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia and I'm supposed to be going to Florida this weekend," he said of taking in the South Carolina-Florida game. "I'm trying to set up an official visit with North Carolina for Jan. 10 and I also want to visit South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia for sure.
"My fifth official is up in the air. Maybe Florida, maybe Clemson, I don't really know right now."
Young said his teammates, David Smith and Curtis Rice as well as ex-teammate Xavier Byrd are all trying to get him to go to South Carolina (Smith and Byrd have committed while Rice favors the Gamecocks) but he's not going to be swayed.
"I have to choose for myself," he said. "It would be a bonus to play with those guys in college, but I need to be smart and make a decision that's right for me."
Young wants to major in business.
"I know I'm interested in business. North Carolina, they've got a great business program. South Carolina too -- they're very business oriented," he said. "I'm pretty much wide open right about now, I'm trying to focus on winning the state championship. We've got a very good chance at it, so everything boils down to the state."
