OL Eubanks looks to narrow things down

St Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham offensive line prospect Rafael Eubanks (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) wrapped up his mid-summer college camps and unofficial visits, and Eubanks talks about his time-frame for making his top schools list in this summer recruiting update.
“The last time we talked, I camped at Notre Dame and I also made an unofficial visit to Northwestern," Rafael Eubanks said. “Overall things went well for me on both trips, and lately I've just been lifting and conditioning for my senior year."

Eubanks talked about his Notre Dame camp.
"I thought that the camp at Notre Dame went great. I really enjoyed being on that campus as well as getting a chance to get to know the coaches and some of the other recruits. I had a great time, and I felt that I performed really well at the Notre Dame camp. I talked with Coach (Greg) Mattison after the camp, and he said that I did very well, but that Notre Dame was looking to sign 4 offensive tackle types in this class. I'm more of a center/guard type, and he said that if things changed he would definitely keep me in mind. I appreciated his honesty, and I was disappointed but I enjoyed the camp experience at Notre Dame."
Eubanks also made an unofficial visit to Northwestern on the same road trip.
"The Northwestern campus was just beautiful. I made an unofficial visit, and I was able to get a full tour of the campus and the facilities. I was really impressed with the private beach right off the lake at Northwestern, and that beach also has a great view of downtown Chicago. The campus was smaller than I thought it would be, but to me that was actually a good thing. I also had good discussions with the coaches and it was a really good visit overall."
Eubanks might also attempt to squeeze in one or two more unofficial visits this summer.
"My teammate Reggie Rock and his brother Pat are planning to take a short vacation to Miami in early August, and I'm trying to talk my parents in letting me take the trip to Miami with them so that I could make an unofficial visit to the University of Miami. My Dad is also involved with a golf tournament in Missouri later this summer, and I might tag along with him and take an unofficial visit to the University of Missouri. I don't have anything set yet, but those could be two potential unofficial visits."
Eubanks and his family have also started to consider several potential schools this summer.
"I sat down a few nights ago with my parents, and we all came up with a test Top 5 favorites list. We all had a different list, but I'm definitely giving the recruiting stuff a lot more thought these days. I'm hoping to name my Top 7 schools by the end of September."
