OL Doering is working the phones

Barrington, Ill. offensive tackle prospect Dan Doering (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) has been plenty busy answering the phone this weekend.

“I've gotten four calls so far from college coaches," Dan Doering said. “USC, Tennessee, Purdue and Oklahoma have all called so far."

"Basically I talked to each coach for about a half hour or so. The conversations went very well, and we talked about the usual recruiting stuff. My family and I have told several coaches that we've set a time-frame for when they can call the house. I just want to be fair to everyone, plus I also need to be able to concentrate on school as well as trying to keep things at home as normal as possible, so that's why we've decided to limit the time that the coaches can call."

Doering is also expecting more college coaches this week. "According to my head coach, Purdue, Oklahoma and Notre Dame are all scheduled to make in-school visits this week."

Dan Doering currently has scholarship offers from LSU, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, Boston College, Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Southern Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, Arizona, Illinois, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech.
