OL Doering: 24 offers and growing daily

Barrington, Ill. offensive tackle prospect Dan Doering (6-foot-6, 290 pounds) has added four more scholarship offers over the last few days, giving him a total of 24 offers this spring. Doering talks about his most recent offers and more.
"Last week I spoke with Coach Bellotti at the University of Oregon and he offered me a scholarship," Dan Doering said. "Earlier this week I spoke with the coaches at the University of Georgia and they haver also offered me a scholarship. My coaches also told me that the University of Minnesota and Maryland were at our high school on Wednesday and they both mentioned to them that they are sending out offers. I am very thankful to receive offers from these schools and I plan on researching all of the schools both academically and athletically before I make a final decision."

So just how crazy has the phone calls been to the Doering house during the May evaluation period? "It hasn't been too bad. I have been mainly receiving phone calls from the schools that have already offered me. I've enjoyed talking with all of the coaches and learning more about their schools and their football programs."
Doering has already set two official visits for Notre Dame and Iowa. Could more official visits plan be forthcoming from Doering? "I have mentioned to you before that I have told the coaches at Iowa and Notre Dame that I plan on taking official visits there later this year. I feel that I have visited both those schools enough to feel comfortable in scheduling an official visit there."
"This summer I am going to try and visit a number of the schools who have offered that I have not been able to visit yet. All of the schools that have offered are great schools so I want to have enough time to think everything over. I hope that by early fall I will be able to determine which other schools that I will be officially visiting."
Dan Doering currently has scholarship offers from Arizona, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin.
