OL Cuffee takes unofficials

Last weekend offensive tackle Billy Cuffee out of Chesapeake (Va.) Deep Creek took an unofficial visit to his lone offer East Carolina. What did the 6-foot-5, 330-pounder think of the visit?
"I went down for the Central Florida game and I liked the atmosphere of it. I also liked their weight room facilities a lot," he said. "Right now I'd say East Carolina is very high for me because they were the first school to have faith in me and to offer. East Carolina looked like a family environment instead of just a team from my visit and I really liked coach Steve Shankweiler my recruiting coach. He talks to you real and doesn't give gimmicks or anything."

Cuffee continues to hear a lot more interest from schools across the East Coast.
"There are a whole lot of teams that want more film and once I send it out they'll get back to me," he said. "Those teams include Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Marshall, North Carolina State and South Carolina. I don't have any favorites right now as I'm just taking it all in."
Despite that, the two-star prospect thinks he knows two schools he'd like to take official visits to.
"I know North Carolina and Virginia for sure," he said. "I went to both of them during the season for games and really liked it. I want to go back sometime after the season to check them out some more."
This weekend Cuffee is headed to Blacksburg for the Miami-Virginia Tech game.
"I'm hoping to see a good game, the facilities and coaching staff," he said. "I know they are after a bunch of top linemen and hopefully I can see what's up with an offer for me on this visit."
Deep Creek is 6-2 on the season as Cuffee has been a big factor in their success.
"I've been happy with how I've done, but I'm never satisfied as I can always step up more," he said. "Our team is playing really hard and we're coming together at the right time. We're still fighting to get a playoff spot and should be able to take care of business."
