OL adds offer after Elite Skills Camp

CLEVELAND – Lexington, Ohio, offensive tackle Marc Stevens has been a lot of places this spring.
He's already visited Vanderbilt, Louisville, Cincinnati, Miami, Bowling Green, Akron, Illinois and Purdue. On Tuesday he added another stamp on his passport by attending the Elite Skills Camp at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. While it wasn't for a recruiting visit, the trip to Cleveland was definitely recruiting related.

Stevens was one of the more impressive offensive linemen at the camp. He did well in drills, impressing the group of more than 100 coaches from all over the nation. He said he went to the camp with one goal in mind – get more scholarship offers.
"It's a great event," Stevens said. "I love to compete. I don't know why I love to compete, but I do love it. I want to test myself and show people that I'm one of the best around. Today was all about going out there and testing myself. I want to prove it to myself, too. "
He definitely proved it.
By the time he walked out the door on Tuesday, he picked up his fourth scholarship offer from Western Michigan.
"I just picked up my fourth offer from Western Michigan," he said. "The coach told me that they really liked what they saw. The other three are Ball State, Bowling Green and Akron. Akron was the first to offer me, then BG, Ball State and today the new offer from Western Michigan came in."
Stevens said he's loved every minute of the recruiting process so far.
"I love going to all the different campuses and meeting the new people," he said. 'It's also great to sit down and talk to people and get to know them better. I've been to a lot of places, and it's fun. I started down South at Vanderbilt, Louisville, Cincinnati, Miami, Bowling Green, Akron, Illinois, Purdue and now here. I've been all over the place."
He did say that one place stood out the most so far on his travels.
"I really liked Louisville," he said. "I loved everything about them. The coaches are telling me to come to camp and hopefully they will offer after that. I went down for the West Virginia game, and everything was intense there. I talked to their center a few times, and he's really cool."
