Okung pulls the trigger for OSU

Picking off Houston's top talent over the past three years, Oklahoma State put their finishing touch on their 2006 recruiting class as Fort Bend Austin's Russell Okung verbally committed to the Cowboys today.
Okung (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) has been recruited by Cowboy assistant Joe DeForest throughout the process and the Houston-area recruiting ace got his man.

"All the components I was looking for were there," Okung said. "Early playing time and being part of the next big thing in college football.
"We will be the next big thing and I'm excited about it."
Okung had several offers, but it came down to LSU, Oklahoma and the Cowboys. The talented prospect is projected to play tight end or offensive line for Oklahoma State.
