Zach Okun's junior season is finished and while he's not thrilled about that, it gives the four-star offensive lineman a chance to take some unofficial visits.
Nothing is scheduled yet but the Newbury Park, Calif., standout said he definitely wants to get to Notre Dame and hopefully make some Pac-12 stops as well.
"I don't have anything scheduled, but I've been talking to a few schools," Okun said. "There's nothing on paper yet. I want to take a trip to Notre Dame. I want to get out to Arizona and Arizona State. Those are kind of the ones I want to do with the offers I have and then we'll go from there and see what other offers come in."
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound offensive guard has never been to South Bend, but he did see Notre Dame play at Air Force. Getting to the campus seems important to Okun, who looked good this summer at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge last summer in Chicago.
"I saw a game in Colorado Springs, the Air Force game, but I haven't been on campus yet," Okun said. "I have to get out there and see the environment, the campus, the coaching staff and the facilities. I would love to get out there."
So far, Okun has been offered by Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington and Washington State.
He said Oregon and USC are showing a good amount of interest so things are picking up as his junior season wraps up.
"I'm talking to a lot more people on Facebook," Okun said. "It's been exciting."
