Okpara has Big 12 leader

Three scholarship offers have turned to four for Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Dulles cornerback Ugo Okpara.
Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Virginia started first with offers. Okpara says that his most recent has come from Rice. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder also has a leader.

"Things have been going good right now, but it's a little slow with spring football coming up," Okpara said. "I just got a new offer from Rice, so that's four now. Duke has also been sending me stuff and my coach sent a few game tapes in. I'm waiting on their reply to my highlight tapes."
One of the Big 12 offers is from a school that Okpara says is his early leader.
"If I had to say my favorite, I'd say Oklahoma State," Okpara said. "It's closer to home, they have new facilities that will be ready if I'm there. I'm going to get the best workout program I can get if I go there. Plus, the coaches seem like the type that I can communicate with and get good at football."
Virginia is another school that Okpara says he's very interested in, but also would like to stay somewhat close to home.
As for more visits, Okpara said he had planned to get to the Oklahoma State spring game but his track schedule has kept him busy.
"I'm going to have to postpone that trip," he said. "I'm going wait until track season gets out before I can start taking any visits."
