Oklahomas best ready to announce

Kingfisher, Okla., linebacker Curtis Lofton is all set for making his decision known tonight on Oklahoma television.
“I’m pretty much ready to do it,” the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Lofton said. “I’m sitting down going through things right now. I’m basically down to two schools. Actually, I’m basically down to one. I’m just kind of going through things one last time to make sure.”

Lofton plans on letting every school that has offered him a scholarship of his intentions before going on the air at about 10:15 tonight.
“I want to sit down a couple of hours before the show and call all that offered,” the No. 5 rated inside linebacker in Rivals.com’s latest ranking said. “I want them to hear it from me. I’m going to call each one of them and thank them for recruiting me, It was a real honor to be recruited by each of them. It’ll be tough to tell a few of the coaches that I’m not going there. But it’s something that I have to do.”
Lofton is believed to be deciding between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State as a final two, but had considered Kansas State and Miami, Fla. late in the process.
