DALLAS -- Quarterbacks from across the state of Texas and as far away as California showed their wares at the Rivals Quarterback Challenge on Sunday, but it was an Oklahoman who came out on top of the standings and our list of top performers.

Recruiting Wrap: George holds more than a half dozen offers, including a couple from Power Five programs Boston College and Wake Forest.

Performance: George was in fourth place following the first round of competition, but emerged as the overall winner after navigating the fast-paced final round competition better than the other six finalists. The three-star Oklahoman caught our eye throughout the day, not only by being accurate but also throwing the football with plenty of zip. He is a dual-threat quarterback with a solid football build.

Recruiting Wrap: Towns’ recruitment is just beginning.

Performance: When talking about which quarterback in attendance could end up the most heavily recruited, Towns is a strong candidate. The 6-foot-2, 179-pound sophomore has a good quarterback build and showed throughout the day he has the makings of an outstanding pro-style passer. Towns took home the Mr. Mechanics award for being the most fundamentally sound quarterback at the event and he throws with plenty of velocity.

Recruiting Wrap: Martin committed to Texas Tech the summer before his junior year.

Performance: Martin qualified for the finals and was a candidate for several of the awards given out Sunday, eventually winning the Mobile Marksman award. The Texas Tech commit is listed as an athlete prospect because he could project to several positions in college, but the athleticism we saw in his arm and his all-around game at the quarterback position will make it tough for the Red Raiders to play him elsewhere.

Recruiting Wrap: Bonds holds an early offer from Cincinnati. He used his time in Texas this weekend to visit TCU.

Performance: This was the second Rivals QB Challenge Bonds has attended and he continues to climb the ladder. He was the points leader after the first round of competition and was just edged out for the overall win by George in the finals. Bonds was extremely consistent throughout the day and was good at each of the stations quarterbacks went through in the finals. He also displayed very good trajectory and accuracy on his deep ball.

Recruiting Wrap: Bowman is a sophomore and just starting his recruitment.

Performance: Bowman was probably the player we were most surprised did not make the finals, as his performance throughout the day caught the attention of each analyst in attendance. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound class of 2018 prospect has a well-rounded game and plenty of talent in his arm. He threw with both accuracy and velocity and the ball comes off his hand beautifully.

Recruiting Wrap: Brock holds offers from Houston and ULM, with Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Washington and Utah showing interest.

Performance: The four-star quarterback had a solid showing over two days at both the Rivals Camp and the Rivals QB Challenge, just missing out on awards both days. The talent that earned him four stars was definitely on display. At 6-foot-4, he has great height and further adds to that advantage with a high release point. Brock was consistent in the high winds and displayed a good deep ball.

Recruiting Wrap: Kizzie holds offers from FCS programs McNeese State and Stephen F. Austin.

Performance: It is a surprise Kizzie has not generated more college interest, especially in a down year for talent at quarterback in the state of Texas. The 6-foot-2, 184-pounder oozes potential and showed very few weaknesses in his game during Sunday’s competition. He is blessed with an athletic football frame and junior film shows he can make plays with his feet. As a passer, though, Kizzie showed sound mechanics and produces a very consistent, catchable football.

Recruiting Wrap: Mordecai is in the early stages of his recruitment.

Performance: The winner of the Rocket Arm award, Mordecai can absolutely sling the football and that velocity paid off during what was a windy day in Dallas. While the zip he put on his passes was the most noticeable aspect of his performance, Mordecai has a really well-rounded game. His delivery is a little long, but it is a repeatable motion and produces an accurate football. At 6-foot-2 and 198 pounds he has a good frame and is mobile as well.

Recruiting Wrap: Brewer holds offers from Bowling Green, Hawaii, North Texas, SMU and others.

Performance: Brewer earned his way into the finals, finishing as one of the top seven point-getters after the initial round of throwing. The three-star prospect has a quick delivery and was especially accurate on his deep ball. He derives a lot of power from his lower body and should continue to grow as a quarterback as he refines his mechanics. He was definitely one of the more eye-catching passers in attendance.
