Oklahoma WR to have busy summer

Edmond (Okla.) North wide receiver Marquis Hamilton is getting a lot of attention from schools already, but they are holding off on offering until they see one thing.
“I get mail all the time from all sorts of schools,” the 6-foot-3, 205-pound Hamilton said. “I just don’t have any scholarship offers. I have been told by schools I am too slow to be a receiver. I am working on that.”

Hamilton has hired a coach to help him with his speed.
“I am working on my speed,” he said. “I’m going to get my speed down. I am working hard with my coach on improving it. I’m at 4.6 right now. I want to knock a little bit off of that.”
Hamilton’s talents helped him lead his team to a 10-2 record while hauling in 35 passes for 569 yards and five touchdowns.
Hamilton does have a busy summer scheduled for traveling to camps.
“I am going to camp at Oklahoma, Tulsa, Arkansas and Oklahoma State for sure,” he said. “I don’t have a favorite school. I am trying to find the best place and I will check them out some while I’m at the camps. I am open to any school. I’m not set on one right now.”
