"I got calls from several schools last month," Ray said. "I'm also getting mail from most of them too."
Which schools are near the top of Ray's list?
"Oklahoma, Colorado, Notre Dame, Stanford, Kansas State and West Virginia are the main schools," the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder said. "I have an offer from West Virginia. Right now that is the only one.
"Oklahoma is close to home and I've been there several times. I was there for the spring game a couple months ago. I got the chance to see a lot of the behind the scenes stuff there. Kansas State is another place I want to learn more about. I really like Stanford's academics and Colorado is in the Big 12 too. I'm not ready for a decision at this time at all."
As for making a decision, Ray indicated he wanted to take his time.
"I want to learn as much as I can about all of the schools I am looking at before choosing where I want to go," Ray said. "I don't want to rush into something and make a wrong decision."
