Oklahoma runner shows at NIKE

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Talented Owasso, Oklahoma all-purpose back K.J. Washington wanted to make his way to the NIKE Training Camp in College Station, Texas to show his stuff against some of the best prospects in Texas.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder certainly did all he could to show off his ability with other top prospects from Oklahoma. That may help his recruitment start to really pick up.

"The one-on-one drills was really where I thought I did well," Washington said. "I didn't get to go in as much as I would have liked, but I did my best. Whatever happens now happens."
Washington says he's received a lot of letters from Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas State, and Tennessee among others. The in-state program leads the way.
"I get a lot of letters but the offers haven't come yet," Washington said. "OSU is a visit I'm going to take – that's my favorite. I like their campus and I know a lot of people that go up there.
"They've also been the most persistent in sending me letters."
Washington ran his 40-yard dash in the 4.5-second range.
