Oklahoma RB talking to four

Ardmore (Okla.) Dickson running back Johnny Avery has put up good numbers on the season, but he is still waiting on his first offer.
“Nothing really new has happened,” the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Avery said. “Kansas and Missouri have called, but they are the only ones. They aren’t talking about much, though, lately. They are talking about me visiting at some time.”

The only thing keeping Avery from taking any visits is his ACT test.
“I need to take my ACT later on this month,” he said. “As soon as I get that done, I can set up my visits. My grades are in real good shape, so once I take the test, I’ll be qualified.”
Two other schools have been staying in touch with the two-star rated running back.
“Texas A&M and Kansas State have been writing me a lot,” he said. “They’ve all been inviting me to come to games. I’m going to Missouri next week to watch them play.”
Avery has been having a productive senior season so far.
“I’m doing good in my games. I had four scores and 220 yards last week. It is a little harder than it was last year. We had a lot of senior linemen last season, now they are all underclassmen. I’ve got 12 scores and 936 yards on the season. We are 2-4 on the season.”
