Lawton, Okla. all-purpose back Andrew Alexander has decided to stay near home.
"He is committed to Oklahoma State," Lawton coach Clarence Madden said. "I can definitely confirm that. I heard him telling them on the phone here in my office."

Alexander will head to Stillwater for the 2003 season with an uncertainty as to which position he'll be used at.
"Andrew has the ability to play a lot of spots," Madden said of his 5-foot-10, 165-pounder. "He is very versatile. He could be a running back, a wide receiver, a cover cornerback or even a return man. I don't know that anyone knows yeat what he is going to be doing."
Alexander is the main running back for Lawton this year and through three games he has done his share. He has 78 carries for 470 yards and seven touchdowns.
"He also does a good job for us on defense," Madden said. "They don't throw his way much. But he did get a pick in our last game. That is the only one he has so far, but he doesn't get many chances to intercept it."
