Oklahoma QB SEC bound

Quarterback Mackenzie Adams racked up some impressive stats last season before taking his game to one of the top programs in the state of Oklahoma. The new Tulsa Union quarterback will also be taking his game to the Division I level – the very prestigious SEC.
“Mackenzi has given a commitment to Vanderbilt University to play football,” his father, Jeff Adams, said. “We were in camp yesterday in Nashville and they offered him on the spot.”

Adams’ stop in Nashville was his third impressive visit this summer to a camp. He had really impressed also at Tulsa, TCU and Kansas – yet when the SEC came calling it was tough for him to turn down.
Adams threw for 2,700 yards and rushed for 1,100 yards as a junior. He threw for 2,443 as a sophomore. Adams measured at 6-foot-2 and 183 pounds at the College Station NIKE Training Camp. He also put up 13 repetitions of 185 pounds and had a vertical leap of 29 inches.
