Oklahoma QB has summer lined up

Shawnee, Okla. quarterback Tanner Whitson has a busy summer ahead of him.
"I’m going to camps at SMU, TCU, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Tulsa. Most of them are mini-camps," Whitson said. "The coaches all want to see me in person."

While Arkansas, SMU, Northwestern, Tulsa, and Kansas have stayed in constant contact with Whitson, but so far no scholarship offers have come through.
"I still don't have a scholarship offer right now," the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder said. "I really like SMU and Northwestern. If they both offered at their camps I’d have a difficult time choosing between them.
"I went to both of their spring games and liked them a lot. SMU has a beautiful campus in a very nice part of Dallas. I got a chance to see it when I was up there for their junior day. I also went to Northwestern's and got a chance to see their campus too."
Whitson described his game as a thrower who can move away from trouble.
"My dad is our coach," Whitson said. "We throw the ball 30 or 40 times each game. But we also mix a little option in to use our running talents a little."
