Oklahoma OL trying to make grade

McAlester, Okla., offensive lineman Brandon Keith has his first scholarship offer, but it's not an offer than many people would expect.
"The coaches from NEO came down here this week and offered him," McAlester coach John Homer said. "I think that might be a good option for him."

Especially considering that Keith is likely to end up taking the junior college route, Homer said.
"He just took the test last weekend and a few teams were waiting to see how he's done with that," Homer said. "But I think he's going to have to take the junior college route.
"I know that Oklahoma and Oklahoma State came to talk to him this spring, but they've not been by the school here lately. I think everybody just assumes NEO or juco is where he's going to end up."
But is there a chance he can still qualify?
"He said he did well on the test," Homer said. "But they all think they do good on the tests."
Keith, who is 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, is a four-star offensive lineman and considered one of the best prospects in Oklahoma for the Class of 2003.
