Oklahoma OL receiving honors

Ardmore, Okla. offensive lineman Matt Horn is using his talents on the field last year to pull in pre-season honors as well as catch the eye of college recruiters.
Horn was named a preseason all-state selection as an offensive lineman by Sooners Illustrated based on his play as a junior.

"I guess I played well enough to get someone's attention for that honor," the 6-foot-5, 235-pound Horn said. "It is an honor to have that achievement already before we play a game."
Although there have been no offers so far, Horn has received letters from Northwestern, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, and USC.
Is there a leader so far?
“I’m a fan of OU," Horn said. "I really like what they’ve done the last couple of years. Their coaching staff is great and they’re doing some very good things there.”
Horn went to a team camp with the rest of his Ardmore squad early in the summer and that will be the only camp he takes part in.
“I’m just planning on staying here and working out with my team," Horn said. "I'm just trying to get stronger and get ready for next season.”
Horn has found other ways to keep strong during the offseason – throwing the shot and discus for his high school track team, and wrestling during the winter.
“I went out for wrestling to improve my football skills," Horn said. "I also kept in shape by working on with the track team."
