Ardmore, Okla., two-star offensive lineman Tyler Parish was one of the better players at the College Station NIKE Training Camp, and he's also looked good as a senior. It was that type of attention that earned him early interest from teams like Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Rice and Tulsa.

It's also that type of attention that has led him to make an oral commitment.
"Tyler has verbally committed to Rice," his mother, Stephanie Parish, said. "We're really excited about it. It's a great school and a great situation for Tyler."
Tyler, an all-area pick as a junior, is 6-foot-4 and 281 pounds.
In addition to being a stalwart on the offensive line, he also plays in spot situations on the defensive line and could play either side of the ball in college. However, all of the schools recruiting him want him as an offensive tackle.
"I play defense in spot situations," Parish added. "I play right tackle on offense, but the college coaches want me to play left tackle for them. I think my main strengths are my strength and my quickness. I'm pretty strong, benching 330-pounds and squatting 575-pounds. My pass blocking is pretty good. I don't give up any sacks."
