Oklahoma offers top QB

The Oklahoma Sooners are coming to Eastern Pennsylvania, which can't be good news for the local programs. After offering Jared Odrick the other day and with an offer already out to LeSean McCoy, OU is now looking for their quarterback of the future from the area.
"I got an offer in the mail from Oklahoma a couple days ago," said Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt quarterback Jeremy Ricker. "Obviously when they offer you have to have some interest. I know a little about them but I want to learn more. I was a bit surprised because I only got a few things in the mail from them before."
Is Oklahoma too far for the now 6-foot-3, 200-pounder?
"No, nowhere is too far," he said. "Wherever is the best fit."
Ricker has a few travel plans already set for the months of March and April.
"We're going down to Florida from March 23-26 to see Miami and Florida," he said. "Urban Meyer has shown a lot of interest my coach said and Miami has pretty much verbally offered. Then in April, we're going to Notre Dame from the 14th to the 16th."
Ricker's coach Jeff Weachter received about 15 calls a day regarding the quarterback. In addition to the Oklahoma offer, Ricker also received offers from Akron and Vanderbilt this week. So who are his current favorites?
"It's hard to say, but I guess you can put MIami, Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State and NC State up there," he said. "That's off the top of my head, there are a lot of schools I am still interested in."
Ricker will be at the NIKE Camp in State College, Pa. on April 30 and will be at the Blue Chip Combine at Rutgers University on May 2.
