LAKELAND, Fla. — Keon Zipperer has options. Lots of them.

The class-of-2019 tight end has scholarship offers from teams in every major conference. His list is well over 15 and in the process growing. It’s why you’ll have to forgive him if he forgets a school when listing the involved parties. Its also why it means something when an offer stands out.

The recent one Zipperer pulled in from Oklahoma fits into the second category.

“I’ve been talking to them for a few weeks,” said Zipperer, a Rivals100 prospect. “They were talking to me even before the offered. I know about them because I watch them. I’ve watched some games. I like the way they use an H-back, and that’s where they want me. I can see myself on the team and in that spot.”

That’s not to say the Sooners lead his recruitment. Zipperer isn’t worried about naming favorites. Not at this juncture, anyway.

“Really, everyone is all even with me,” Zipperer said. “I’m just enjoying the processs right now.”

Zipperer recently visited Florida State for the Seminoles’ game with Louisville and there are plenty of campus tours ahead. Still, he’s looking forward to one in particular.

“I really want to go to visit Clemson,” Zipperer said. “That’s one I want to see. I want to go up for a game.”

Zipperer’s interest in Clemson is nothing new. According to his coach, the four-star tight end often wears Clemson apparel to school. And while the Tigers may or may not have a slight early lead, there’s an offer he’s yet to collect that could change things should it arrive.

“I have every offer I want, expect one,” Zipperer said. “I really ant Alabama. They send me mail, but they haven’t really talked to me yet.”

Zipperer, who attends Florida’s Lakeland High School, is ranked as the No. 2 tight end and the No. 85 overall prospect in the class of 2019.
