Oklahoma lineman working his way up

Frederick, Okla., standout Chris Messner is one of the better players in Oklahoma, and he’s getting the attention to prove it.
Messner, who is 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds, lists Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tennessee as his top teams. He said Oklahoma State has been hinting quite a bit recently about a scholarship offer, but it’s clear that Messner has a team that he likes the best.

“Oklahoma is still my top team,” Messner, who is playing quarterback for Frederick but is projected every where from defensive end to offensive line in college.
“If OU offers me, then it would be hard not to accept. I really don’t know what they are going to do, but they said they are very interested in me, and I’m very interested in them.”
But if the Sooners, don’t somebody else will.
Messner said he’s received invitations to games at Oklahoma State and Tennessee, and he’s hoping to make unofficial visits to those campuses.
But there is no doubt that football is on his mind first and foremost now.
“I’m into football and my team,” Messner said. “I live for this stuff. I’m playing quarterback and defensive end. My job is to go out there and hopefully dominate.”
Dominate his way to Division I, hopefully.
