“Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas State have all offered me a scholarship,” the 6-foot-1, 225-pound Lofton said. “I do have a favorite school, but I don’t want to say which one that is.”
Lofton is receiving attention from several other schools despite no scholarship offers at this point.
“I have also gotten phone calls from Nebraska, UCLA, Texas A&M, Missouri and Miami,” he said. “Some of them have talked about offering me, but they haven’t said when.”
Lofton has been to Norman to see Bob Stoops’ program several times and recently visited two other schools.
“I have been to see Oklahoma several times,” he said. “I am very familiar with what they have to offer. I went to Oklahoma State the other day. I enjoyed it. I have pretty familiar with both of the in-state schools. I also went to see Kansas State last Friday. It was the first time I had been there. I saw the facilities and got to meet a lot of the coaches. I had a pretty good time.”
Lofton is looking to have a decision before the fall semester begins.
“I would like to have it out of the way before my season starts, but I won’t rush it. I want to make the right choice.”
