Oklahoma LB adds third offer

Tulsa (Okla.) East Central linebacker Popsey Floyd has visited three schools this summer, including one this weekend.
“I have now visited Kansas State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State,” the 6-foot, 222-pound Floyd said. “I went to Kansas State for one day of their camp and then stayed around to see the school. I then went to Oklahoma the next day to their camp and check out their school.

“Then this weekend, I went to Oklahoma State. It went pretty good. I had a good time and some good talks with the coaches. Oklahoma State offered me a scholarship while I was there. That was the highlight of the trip when they did that.”
The offer from Les Miles is the third offer Floyd has received. Kansas State and Tulsa had previously extended offers. Outside of adding the Oklahoma State offer, nothing new has been happening for Floyd.
“It’s been kind of slow lately except for that offer. I’m sure it will start to pick up again as school gets rolling again.”
Floyd is not rushing into a decision.
“I’m going to continue to worry about my team first,” he said. “Not that I’m not thinking about recruiting, it’s just that my team and season needs to be at the front of the list right now. I will probably try and make my visits and then come to a decision after our season is over this fall.”
