Oklahoma DT looking for schools

Lone Grove, Okla., defensive tackle Jonathan Throneberry was scheduled to take his first official visit this weekend, but the 6-foot-3, 305-pounder was caught by the numbers game and will begin to look elsewhere for a place to play football in college.
"I was scheduled to visit Kansas this weekend," the 6-foot-3, 305-pound Throneberry said. "But, I didn't go on the visit. They got four defensive linemen to commit last week and they didn't want me to come in. They withdrew their offer."

Throneberry isn't wasting time feeling sorry for himself.
"I'm moving on," he said. "I'm sending out some more tape and looking for other schools. I sent a tape to Oklahoma and they called me that day. I think I'll have some other schools call back."
Throneberry actually went to Norman this weekend to talk to the Oklahoma coaches.
"I went to Norman this weekend to watch them practice," he said. "It wasn't a visit or anything. I got to talk to some of the coaches and watch them workout. I don't know how much interest they might have. We'll see where things go from here."
