Oklahoma DT gets coveted offer

Midwest City, Okla., three-star defensive tackle Dominique Jones has said for quite some time Missouri is a school he's very interested in.
The 6-foot-2, 278-pound tackle that ranks as the nation's No. 31 player at his position has offers from quality programs like Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville and Tulsa.

But a Missouri offer is one that he's been hoping to get.
"I really want to hear from a place like Missouri," Jones said back on May 6. "I've heard they're going to offer me, but I also haven't talked to them in a while either."
The wait is over now, though.
"Missouri was at my practice today, and they told my coach that I have an offer," Jones said. "I'm happy. They came and saw me practice and liked what they saw. I can't remember what coach it was, but it definitely is another offer that gets me excited."
Jones is one of the most dominating defensive players in Oklahoma.
As a junior, he racked up 114 tackles and five sacks. In 2007 he had 40 tackles and one interception as a sophomore. Jones also has a 4.8 second time in the 40-yard dash and a 510-pound squat.
