Oklahoma DB makes pick

There was a report floating around the Internet that Oklahoma had picked up a commitment from Pawnee, Okla., defensive back Grant Jones. Only problem was that the report was halfway true. Jones has committed all right, but not to Oklahoma.
“I committed to Oklahoma State,” Jones, who is listed as 5-11, 185-pound safety prospect, said. “It just felt like the best situation for me. I can go up there and be with family and friends and play in front of them all.”

Jones said OSU was really the only school that was recruiting him and that the Cowboys talked to him about playing either running back or defensive back. He has put up some impressive numbers this season at his running back spot, but is willing to play whatever position the Cowboys put him at.
“I’ll play wherever they put me at,” he said.
Jones said he committed to OSU right before the Nebraska game.
