Oklahoma DB lands first offer

One of the top players in Oklahoma has picked up his first scholarship offer. Oklahoma City (Okla.) Putnam City High School cornerback Nico Watson has landed an offer from Air Force.
"I'm excited about the first offer," Watson, who is 5-foot-11 and 179 pounds, said. "They're a good program from the Mountain West, and I really liked the recruiting coordinator Blane Morgan, the defensive back coach Capt. Charlton Warren, and of course head coach Troy Calhoun."

But it might not be the last offer for Watson.
"I had a great junior/senior camp at SMU, and I believe that coach Jim Gush is close to offering," he said.
"I also think Arkansas State coach Tate Behne is close to offering also. I still have senior camps with Arkansas, TCU, and Iowa State scheduled for July. I am continuing to hear from LSU, Arkansas and Illinois which all are just showing mid interest.
Watson becomes the second player from Putnam City to earn a scholarship offer. His teammate Bobby Smith is already heading to Tulsa.
