Oklahoma CB taking his time

Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe cornerback Reggie Smith continues to receive attention from schools across the country, but the four-star rated prospect is not ready to make a decision at this point.
“I still have all sorts of schools calling,” the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Smith said. “Several of the Big 12 schools are recruiting me hard and then a few from other parts of the country.”

The list still under consideration by the four-star rated Smith includes Kansas State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Southern California, Texas A&M and UCLA.
“I have not set up any official visits,” Smith said. “I’m trying to stay focused on my senior season before I worry about recruiting and visiting places. I know that will still be there. I want to enjoy the season and do the best I can.
“I will be taking all five of my visits. If I can get something set up soon, I will. If I can’t get it done, I’ll wait until we are done with our games. I want to take them all so I can see what each school has to offer me.”
Smith continues to play both ways for Santa Fe.
“It is fun to go both ways,” he said. “But, I do think I will stick with defense in college. That is my first choice, but you never know. If it ends up being offense, then it is and that will be fine.”
