Oklahoma ATH looking at two sports

Oklahoma City (Okla.) Putnam City North athlete Aaron Ivey is one of the most explosive players in the Midlands Region. But he also just happens to be one of the region’s top baseball prospects.

“I don’t have any offers for football yet, but I have two offers from baseball and three official visits lined up in baseball,” he said.
What that means that it looks more likely that Ivey might end up signing somewhere to play baseball and then eventually walk-on a football team.
But he’s still holding out his dream of playing college football and is still getting plenty of attention at this point.
He listed his top five as Tennessee, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Nebraska and Stanford.
“I like Tennessee because of the great football tradition they have,” he said. “Oklahoma is a powerhouse and they’re close to home. The Kansas State coaches were really nice and personal. Nebraska has always had a good football team. And Stanford is a great school with good athletics and all around academics.”
He listed Tennessee and Oklahoma as his top two, but then said K-State recruiting coordinator Greg Peterson is his favorite coach to talk to.
Ivey, who is 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds with a 4.4-second time in the 40-yard dash, said he hopes to have a decision one way or the other over before Christmas.
