THE LATEST

Already holding offers from Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Tulsa and Texas Tech, Boomer made his way over to Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday to check in on the Razorback’s programs. The trip paid off as Boomer was presented a scholarship offer. This was the only college visit Boomer made recently, and it was also his first visit to Arkansas’s campus. He came away impressed and called the offer “big-time, no doubt.”

IN HIS WORDS

“I watch them a lot since they are close to home and their tight end usage is off the chain. There are always two tight ends on the field, and sometimes even three. Also, I think three consecutive of their starting tight ends went in the Draft. Plus, their facilities are awesome and the coaches are great. Coach (Barry) Lunney and Coach (Bret) Bielema are awesome guys and I talked with them (Saturday).”

WHAT’S NEXT?

The success of this past weekend’s visit already has Boomer considering a return trip to Fayetteville, though a date has not been scheduled yet. He is also looking to make visits to Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas – all schools that are recruiting him, but have not offered. Among his current offers, Boomer also noted that his relationship with Oklahoma State is strong and he likes the way the Cowboys use their tight end. He visited Stillwater on Monday with other state of Oklahoma prospects.
