Okam set to visit Hogs

Richardson (Texas) Lake Highlands defensive tackle Franklin Okam is taking his second unofficial visit of the month beginning on Tuesday.
“I'm going to go to Arkansas and check them out,” the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Okam said. “I leave tomorrow morning. I’m looking forward to seeing the school and the facilities.”

Okam’s trip will give him the chance to see if the Hogs can make it into his upper echelon of teams.
“I am looking forward to getting a chance to meet the coaches and see what they have to offer me,” the five-star rated Okam said. “They aren't in my top 10 list of schools right now. But, we’ll see what it is like tomorrow. They may have more there than I realize.”
While the SEC school will play host to Okam tomorrow, he made a shorter trip at the end of last week.
“I went to TCU and visited the school last week,” Rivals.com’s No. 20 rated player in the country said. “It went very well. I had a good time visiting with the coaches and talking to them about their program.”
Okam has been to the Texas A&M and Texas camps this summer.
“I think the camps went real good,” he said. “I think I showed the coaches what I could do with my performances at the camps.”
While Okam is making the rounds this summer, he still has no school at the top of his list.
“I have no real favorite,” he said. “I don’t really have a top five right now. I hope to narrow to five schools by middle of the season.”
