Ohio tackle discusses recruiting

Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive tackle Jake Schwertner has flown in under the radar thus far but several schools have taken notice of his potential.
The 6-foot-4, 282-pound lineman from the Buckeye State has already visited several schools in an attempt to inform himself as much as possible. He has also been hoping to get his name out to as many college coaches as possible.

"So far I've attended Boston College and Cincinnati's junior days," he said. "I've made unofficial visits to Northwestern, Pitt and Syracuse.
"I have no offers yet but have been hearing a lot from these schools, along with a few Ivy League schools."
Schwertner carries a 4.1 grade point average, so it's no surprise that the Ivy League schools would be interested.
How did the events at BC and Cincinnati go for him?
"Both events went really well," he continued. "I liked both campuses and each school had really nice football facilities.
"I've been keeping in touch with the recruiters from Cincinnati and Northwestern and I've also been contacted by Indiana's offensive line coach."
