Ohio stud having second thoughts

Cincinnati (Ohio) Woodward defensive end Ray Edwards was firmly committed to Purdue as of Jan. 1. Now he's not so sure.
"After a week or so, I thought more and more about my commitment," said the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder. "I decided that maybe I should take one more visit to make sure. I'm glad I did."

Edwards took an official visit down to South Carolina this past weekend and really fell for Columbia.
"It was really great, a lot of it surprised me," he said. "I didn't think about going to school in the South until I took my Tennessee visit and I liked it there. Then I decided to commit to Purdue, but I was always thinking about South Carolina. My recruiting coach, coach Fitch, called me just to see if I wanted to take the trip and I'm glad I did. It was a great visit."
So is Edwards still committed to Purdue?
"That's a tough one," he laughed. "I guess you can keep me as committed, but I still have a decision to make. It's not for sure that I'm going to Purdue anymore. Tennessee and especially South Carolina are now in the mix bigtime."
Edwards said he'll decide around LOI Day.
