Ohio State finds a new CB target in Georgia

Since taking over at Ohio State, Urban Meyer has dipped into Georgia on the recruiting trail. Raekwon McMillan and Vonn Bell are two names that most Buckeye fans will recognize that made big impacts in recent years and Brenton Cox is a big name on the 2018 commitment list.

A new name to track is Warren Burrell, a 2019 cornerback out of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett. He was offered by Ryan Day of Ohio State Monday night.

"Coach Day said that he wants corners who are fast and able to run a lot of man to man coverage and he likes my speed and length," said Burrell. "I was exited to receive an offer from them."

Ohio State has spoken with coach Day in the past and he knew the Buckeyes were interested in him, so he was not completely shocked by the offer, but still a little surprised.

The school name speaks for itself, but the 5-foot-11, 165 pound junior has watched them play on television numerous times and he has a lot of interest in the Buckeyes.

"I always notice how their defensive backs play and how they are so good at man coverage. I know about their great defensive backs groups, especially last years, and I used to love watching them play.

"To receive an offer from them is unreal and Ohio State is near the top of my list."

Burrell is still planning to take a lot of visits and he will add many more offers, so he is not near a decision at this time.
