Ohio QB Makes The Call

While Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame await the decision of Ohio star quarterback Brady Quinn, another very talented signal-caller has made up his mind.
"I committed to Wake Forest this morning," said Kenton, Ohio quarterback Ben Mauk. "I liked Wake a lot when I was down there. It's a beautiful campus, the education I would receive is top-notch, the coaching staff is great as are the facilities. It was the place that wanted me most and made me feel most at home, and Brian Andrews (freshman linebacker) is from Lima which is right next to Kenton which will give me someone I know and can talk to."

Mauk, a 6-foot-2, 180-pounder who threw for a national record of 5,770 yards in 2001. For his career he has passed for over 10,000 yards going into his senior season.
"I'm hoping to play right away if I can," said Mauk. "But if I redshirt that's okay as well."
Mauk chose Wake over interest from Penn State and LSU.
