Clint Cochran is ranked as one of the state of Ohio’s top 50 prospects. And now he’s one of the state of Ohio’s top prospects that have made a commitment.
Cochran, a 6-foot-4, 200 pound, pro-style quarterback has committed to Toledo, picking the Rockets over an offer from Ball State and calls from Boston College and Stanford.
“It’s a very good situation,” Cochran, a two-star prospect ranked as a 5.4 on the Rivals Rating scale, said. “There was no reason for me to wait, so I went ahead and committed.
“Earlier in the season, I received an offer for a full scholarship, and I continued to play out my senior season and see what else was out there for me in the recruiting world. We went up there to Toledo for a couple of visits. I saw them beat Pitt at home and I talked to the coaches and really felt like it was the right fit for me.”
Cochran said he picked Toledo also because of the engineering program. He’s thrown for 1,700 yards and 15 touchdowns so far as a senior.
