Ohio LB wants it down to five

There is a plan on the table for the No. 7 rated linebacker in the country, four-star Rivals250 member Thaddeus Gibson who wants to take his ever-growing list of offers, and narrow it to five final teams.
While practice and scrimmages are taking place at Euclid (Ohio) High School, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound senior defensive leader Gibson is starting to think about recruiting. While talking with his coach, Mike Rezzolla, about the process they made some decisions.

"My coach and I were talking about it today," Gibson said. "Mainly, he wants me to get it to five teams and I called him after thinking about it, so now I've got it rolling."
There are two teams that are definitely going to make that final list of five.
"Right now, definitely Ohio State and Miami will be in it," Gibson said. "Miami hasn't offered but I receive a lot of text messages and contact from them. I talked to them back during school and even though I haven't spoken with them since, they seem very interested."
"Ohio State, I mean being an Ohio boy, it's great football. I really like Iowa too because coach (Kirk) Ferentz used to coach one of my position coaches here at school."
One wrinkle is the fact that his mother has told Gibson she will be relocating wherever he chooses for school. His mother favors Miami, but Gibson isn't sure why.
"I guess it's the hot weather or the palm trees, something," Gibson said. "That's a great place for football there too."
As for a decision, that is something else his coach wants him to get done with sooner than later.
"My coach, he wants me to commit before our first game so we can get the season kicked off," Gibson said. "He said it's on me though, so hopefully the way it's looking now, I'll be done before the season ends."
