Ohio LB starts receiving offers

Galloway (Ohio) Westland linebacker Tony Jackson has begun to pick up offers from a couple schools. Who does the 6-foot-1, 234-pounder have scholarships from so far?
"There is a lot of recruiting going on, but right now Bowling Green and Cincinnati are the only ones to offer," he said. "A lot of other coaches have told me to come to camp and there is a good chance I can earn a scholarship there.

"I can tell that Stanford is definitely interested. I'm planning to take an unofficial there on June 10th and 11th. Ohio State continues to show interest along with Miami (Ohio), Illinois, the Ivy League and others."
One conversation during the May evaluation period especially stood out to Jackson.
"Stanford really stands out a lot," he said. "I talked to defensive coordinator A.J. Christoff and he had a lot to say to me about the program, academics, facilities and more. He made it real comfortable and discussed how people excel when they go there and even talked about how I'm one of the best linebackers they've seen. I can tell that if I went to Stanford it means a lot more than just football."
Currently Jackson lists a few schools that are standing out for his services.
"If I would list them it'd probably include Bowling Green, Boston College, Cincinnati, Miami (Ohio), Ohio State, Northwestern and Stanford," he said. "Those schools stand out the most because most of them are successful teams that are constantly top 25 schools. They also are all in great locations and from what I can tell they have good coaches too."
The Ohio linebacker plans to hit plenty of camps this summer including ones at Ohio State, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Bowling Green, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Stanford, Miami (Ohio) and Boston College.
"I want a chance to go and see all these schools and get one day camps at each," he said. "It looks like they'll all work out because I have most of them scheduled."
After registering 137 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions, Jackson went on to earn all-league, all-district and honorable mention all-Ohio honors last season.
