Ohio LB leaning toward Gophers

Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller three-star outside linebacker Greg Jones was one of the most dominating players at the Kirk Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge earlier this month, but for Jones that was nothing new.
He's been a dominating defender for quite some time.

"That game was probably the best I have played so far in my high school career," Jones, who is ranked as the nation's No. 35 outside linebacker and No. 21 player in Ohio, said. "Even though we came up short I felt I played the best I could. Before that, I felt like I was just really tense and not playing to my full potential. But I feel like I'm able to do that now."
That's when Jones let his natural game come through.
"I relax myself in order to play my best," he said. "I just let loose on the field. I'm going to make mistakes regardless, but I just play to the fullest of my ability all the time."
Jones said he's been getting plenty of recruiting attention.
"I've talked to Minnesota a bunch," he said. "I've talked to Cincinnati a lot. I've talked to Air Force and Miami of Ohio some too. Right now, it's only Minnesota at the top because I've talked to them a bunch. I think we're setting up a visit for the end of the season."
He's looking to take the visit to Minnesota in December and it looks like the Golden Gophers are going to be tough to beat.
"I really do like the way they play their linebackers," he said. "I think it's a good defense. I like the coaches. I feel like I have a really good relationship with them. I really like the city. I'm really excited about my visit going there."
Jones said he wouldn't rule out making a commitment to Minnesota on his visit.
"I really just want to make my visit," he said. "I feel like once I make my visit I will know everything I need in order to make my decision. I feel like I probably will commit once I go there."
