Ohio junior has early Big Ten offer

Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne junior defensive back and running back Donnie Evege is one of the top class of 2007 prospects in southwest Ohio.
The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Evege, who was a varsity starter for Xenia, Ohio, his freshman and sophomore years, has fit right in at Wayne.

Playing safety, cornerback, and running back, Evege has rarely come off the field as Wayne has won five of six games. Evege has close to 500 yards rushing.
"I really don't know yet if I'll play on offense or defense in college," Evege said. "It depends on how much weight I gain. I like defense and offense."
Recruiters certainly are aware of Evege.
"I've been to a couple Ohio State games," he said. "I went to their game against Texas and their game against Miami of Ohio.
"I want to go to a Miami home game. I'd like to go to a Purdue game. And a Notre Dame game.
"Miami of Ohio has already offered me, and so has Purdue. Purdue offered verbally and Miami sent a letter.
"I'm looking at anyone that is looking at me. I'm trying to get a feel for their programs."
