Ohio grabs Georgia receiver

Receiver Jordan Reid of Liburn (Ga.) Parkview always wanted to play at a FBS school, so when Ohio recently offered he certainly got excited.
Nontheless, he still wanted to make sure it was a good fit before he pulled the trigger.

"[Being a Division I-A program] was a big factor, but it wasn't the only factor," Reid said. "The offense they ran, the school, the atmosphere, the coaches, the players - I just needed to be comfortable."
Not long after arriving at the school Friday for his official visit, Reid decided he had seen enough. And he committed to the program before leaving for home.
"It really hit me that first day," Reid said. "I committed (Sunday). The coaches are excited about me. They're excited about me coming in for the summer and getting ready. The visit went pretty good. I liked it a lot. They took us on a tour of the campus. And we went to a basketball game, which was pretty fun. They won. It was a big rivalry game with Miami. It was pretty packed, all the way to the top."
As a senior, the 6-feet-3, 195-pound Reid recorded 41 receptions for 586 yards and three touchdowns. According to Reid, the Bobcats offered last week.
"We've been talking for a few months and they attended a practice last year," Reid said. "I'm going to play receiver up there. I have a possibility of playing early. But that's up to me. I have to work for it."
