Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary defensive end Lawrence Wilson is drawing interest from recruiters for his talents in both football and basketball. Wilson registered 15 sacks on the football field during his junior season and led St. Vincent-St. Mary in both scoring and rebounding in basketball.
But the 6-foot-6 and 225 pound Wilson is drawing the most attention for his work on the grid-iron.
"Pitt and Akron offered so far for football," Wilson said. "None have offered for basketball yet."
"There's a lot of schools I'm thinking about. I haven't narrowed it down. Pitt, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Illinois, Penn State, there's about 10 to 15 schools I'm interested in."
"It's still early. I don't have a favorite. All of them have either called or come by my school. Penn State called today (Memorial Day)."
"I'll visit some unofficially. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Pitt. I think I'll go to Ohio State's camp. And maybe Michigan and Notre Dame."
