Ohio DE stars on both sides

Olmsted Falls, Ohio, two star defensive end Cody Connare is playing both ways this season and he's hoping his strong effort on both offense and defense will attract even more attention from the college coaches.
"It's been going well for me personally," Connare, who is 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, said.

"I'm playing offensive guard and defensive end. I'm making a lot of big plays. I'm probably doing the best on defense. I don't know how many tackles I have since I coach doesn't put those up, but I have around four sacks and probably around 50 tackles.
"My junior season I was still worried about what was going to happen on certain plays and I was thinking about it too much. This year, I'm just out there playing and reacting. I know what to expect now, and I'm more comfortable."
Connare had an early offer from Air Force and that's not changed. He said the most common callers are Air Force, Ohio and Miami University.
"Ohio sounds like they might offer me more than Miami," he said.
"I went to the Ohio season-opener. It liked it a lot. It was really cool. Miami is telling me they're looking at me on offense, though. The Air Force coach, Ben Miller, still cals about once a week. I've been invited to a game or two. I just have to go get my visit set up with them."
